As a class we watched Pleasantville. This is a movie that uses color as a character. I feel that a person turned to color when they were doing something outside of the norm. For example, when the teenagers wanted to start reading books, or when the owner of the diner started painting.
Their are many people that don't want change to happen, but it does. You must work around it, and not judge people for the various ways tasks can be accomplished.
