August Fun stuff

This month has flown by so fast. We have had a whirlwind of fun and excitement this month. We started out the month by going to the local amusement park, Lagoon. We have been to a nearby lake almost every weekend, and even went camping for the first time with Maya.

Fun things she has done this month:

• 
  
  Weighed Maya today and she is 17.2 lbs
• Has 2 new teeth, and only side effect is drooling
• Likes to play with her new teeth with her tongue
• Loves kicking her feet
• She is now almost sitting up... ohhh so close
  
  We set up a new crib for her.  She is now too big for the amaizing cradle Papa made for her.
  
• Has a new bouncer and loves to jump
• Love to laugh at silly children, when they jump around is her favorite
• Learned a new trick. She can pretend to cough
• Reaches and grabs for everything to put in her mouth, favorite is fabric and paper
• Starting to eat oatmeal and vegetables, so far doesn't really like peas
• 
  
  
  
  We took her camping for the first time she loved it and wouldn't go to sleep for 8 hours cause there was just so much to look at.

  She loves going to the lake and being in the water, she especially loves the waves
• 
  
  
  
  We took her to an amusement park and she loved looking at the lights and hearing the music and seeing all the people, but she's still too little for any of the rides. She did get to go on a train and see animals in a zoo and on the merry-go-round, riding a giraffe.

  We also took her to a water park and she liked being in the water so much she even feel asleep in the water.
• She now sleeps through the night without waking up at all (she use to wake up for her binky), We are really happy to be getting more sleep.
• She loves seeing the world around her, and learn new things

I verified with my Sister today.  Maya is getting her first tooth, well 2 of them.  Middle 2 bottom ones.

Lagoon 2010

Finilization and Sealing

We finally have our court date and are counting down the days for our precious little angel to officially and eternally ours.  September 29.  I can't imagine life with out her.  What did we do 4 months ago? 

I have also made the appointment for our family to be sealed for eternity!!  The last week of September are going to be the best ever!!  Timpanogus Temple here we come!!

July Fun things

4 months already. We are amazed at the growth and learning that Maya does every day.  She is now 25” long (75th percentile) she weighs 15.5 lbs (90th percentile) and her head circumference is 41.2 cm (50th percentile).   She smiled at everyone in the office, and was an excellent patient, even with her shots. They said she is very healthy and is ready to start eating baby cereal (fun pictures to come, I'm sure).

Now she can:

• Hold her own bottle (whether she knows what she is doing or not, we aren't sure)
• She has started sleeping mostly through the night. Waking only to get her binky back in her mouth.
• She loves to be outside. Sometimes when she is a bit fussy it will calm her down to walk outside.
  
• She gets so excited that she kicks her legs and wiggles her arms while we are holding her, great soccer practice. :)
  
• She is a smiley girl, she loves to smile, and does most anytime anyone requests. Her smile is big and open, a whole face smile.
  
  
  She has developed a dimple on the left side of her face, just below her eye.
• She is especially ticklish on her collarbone, and almost everywhere else.
• When she laughs it seems to come down deep from her belly.
  
• We took her to the lake last week and placed her in a turtle floaty, this is when we realized that she likes movement, when a big wave would come to rock her, she would smile really big, and sometimes giggle.
  
• She is now trying to talk all the time, we took her to a movie and she tried to talk back at the screen especially during the exciting moments

First garden 2010

This year I tried to grow my first garden. I only have a small pice of dirt to use, about 4 ft by 2ft.   I planted 2 cucumber plants and 4 tomato plants.  These are pics from the first  harvest.  Since then I have picked at least 15 cucumbers.  The tomatoes are still coming.
