Baby Showers

The last few weeks have been full of bab showers.  So far Dan's family had one (From Ana, Tia Leni, and Heidi), Tara through one for my firends in the ward, and My mom and sisters gave me one for the old neighberhood, and friends.

It's almost done!  This is the main wall where her cradle goes.  A good friend Missy helped by cutting out the dots, and the words are cut from a clear tablecloth plastic.  We wanted to have "discrete" words on the wall.

The words include, love, create, muse, excite, love and my favorite word Giggle. 

This is the wall with the cradle that my dad made in front of it, and our new rocking chair!

We just received these pics from my aunt and uncle in the mail.  These were taken Maya's first week, In CA. Obviously, I'm not a writer, but just love to show pics. :)

2 week Dr Check up

Today we went to see the Peditritian for the first time.  This was her 2 week check up.

Maya is now 20" and 7lbs 1 oz, and her head is 35 cm.

She has gained over 1 lbs and grown 1".

The Dr said she is healthy, and can eat as much as she wants (which was good to hear, because she is always wanting to eat).

Ambilical cord fell off...

First week

After being in CA for 5 days, we finally made it home.  We are so greatful to be home and start our new life.

While in CA we had the privileged of staying with my Aunt Jan and Uncle Bill.  We are so grateful for them, there hospitality and love for us and little Maya.  They live on an island, with the lake just out the back door.  So beautiful and relaxing.  We were able to take a few boat rides in their battery operated boat (Maya even steered for a bit :)) We sat on the back porch, where it was between 65-75 degrees. And we went to the beach in Santa Barbara

Maya is as cute as ever.  She sleeps a lot of the day, and is up only some in the night.  She is eating so much, about 2 oz every 2-3 hours.  She has so many different facial expressions, and sometimes even makes smiley faces.  Maya rarely cries and when she does it is more like whimpering, unless we are changing her.  She definitely likes to have all her clothes on.  She is growing and changing all the time.

We have loved introducing our little bundle of joy with our family and friends that have been visiting the last few days.  And are excited to show her off more!
